Anyone use MSG in their stew, gumbo or jambalaya?

I would like to experiment with it but wanted to get the experts thoughts!

I bought some recently and throw it in things randomly, but honestly I have yet to notice a difference. Usually throw it into things that already have a significant amount of flavor.

I keep some around, but don't use it much. I'll typically reach for another type of umami before going with straight MSG. Fish sauce, Maggi, dashi (which sometimes has MSG included), etc.

Most Bullion Cubes have MSG and I use them all the time.

I've tried it before but if you're looking for Umami I find it's better to add about a teaspoon of fish sauce to the pot. I put it in my gumbo every time now.

Same. I use fish sauce the most. Occasionally soy sauce or Worcestershire.
