Anyone had them? I think they are awesome.
Anyone made them? I have the recipe from Roux To Do, just haven't done them.

I've had them, thought they were OK. I prefer the stuffed chicken wings at LA Thai Uptown.

Can you describe the differences? Have not had those.

Help a fella out, Otis? I'm at a loss. When you say NOLA I think brewery.

Honestly, it's been quite a while since I had had the Miss Hays version; I had a bad experience at NOLA a couple years ago and doubt I'll ever be back. I just remember that the fillings were different, and I preferred the ones at LA Thai. The ones at LA Thai are filled with glass noodles and other assorted goodies, are very crispy, and are served with peanut sauce, and are obviously more of a Thai flavor, which I like.

I've been to NOLA a handful of times, but never had the wings because there were other things on the menu that appealed to me more. I've always wondered who Mrs Hays is, but haven't felt like looking into it.

She was (or is) a lady who worked in the kitchens with Emeril over many years. I believe she is of Vietnamese or Thai decent.

Now I need to eat these.

They're good, but unfortunately, you only get 2 per order.
LA Thai Uptown also has my favorite soup in the entire city -- Mama's hot and sour soup. It's unlike any hot and sour soup I've ever had before. I'd buy it by the gallon if I could.
