Dumb question, but leave the shrimp in the whole time, or remove when pink? Recipe says "pour sauce over shrimp" which kinda suggests the shrimp were taken out.
Thanks in advance.

They remove the shrimp to plate them and then pour the sauce over them.

So besides a salad, french bread and maybe grits, any other ideas for side dishes with this? Seems like grits and french bread together may be a little to starchy???

Over the years I just let my kids eat the shrimp and I destroy a full length baguette by sopping up 10,000 calories of heaven

Thanks for posting this. Prompted me to make it for a couple out of town guests last night. Served over grits. Very easy, very very good

I find most recipes to be too oily. This isn’t. It’s rich and creamy.
I've made this many times. I love it. But it is super rich. I actually appreciate some of the oilier BBQ shrimp recipes, and I think rosemary is a critical ingredient that is notably absent from the Mr. B's version. That said, grab a loaf of good French bread, make this recipe, and get fat.

You aren't from Louisiana are you? Lol.
Glass of white wine would pair nicely. I'd probably do some roasted brussels sprouts or asparagus.

quote:made this last night using the River Road BBQ Shrimp Seasoning and 2 sticks of butter. Super easy, 20 minutes in the oven.
I follow the Mr. B’s method of handling the butter, but use River Road bbq shrimp seasoning.

followed this recipe tonight but added 2 tbl fresh rosemary, doubled the lemon juice, and halved the pepper. It came out incredible. It was so rich that I was fully disgusted with myself after mopping up at least a full cup of butter with the French bread.
This was so rich that I dont think id make it this way again unless I had people over. I was thinking of replacing a third of that butter with white wine next time

I use this recipe but add a little rosemary too.
