Look at it like this... Few less dochebags in the way when I'm sucking beers down at the chimes, stuffing my face with wings from pluckers or crawfish and fried mozzarella from Sammy's.
My vote goes to Roberto's.
Been 3-4 times and its never overwhelmed.

Lots of busy restaurants on those lists. If I was a restaurant owner, I'd be satisfied to be listed with the other monster restaurants in Baton Rouge.

Some people just don't get it. And that's okay. There are a couple in this thread.

Because you did so on a thread about the most overrated restaurants. Now, since you've posted, I've gone back and made a point of looking at who you were "replying" to. So, I know what you meant. However, this board is unusual in how it's coded to "reply" to a poster without automatically including the text of their post, and not allowing a generic "reply to thread" option.
So, for future reference, you might want to be a bit more clear when you post to someone in particular

I'm glad to hear AM Mart still has their sandwich, chips, drink deal. I was a frequent patron 2003-2007. Is the big, overly nice Asian girl still working there?

No, those girls graduated and that family sold the business. The sandwiches have not changed thought. For under $7, one of the best bargains in BR, and it's damn tasty too.

Take your pick of the places here and the places in BR don't seem so bad.
I can't stand our choices here.
Mazen's/The Harlequin
Steamboat Bills/Chastains/Seafood Palace/Pats of Henderson
Casa Mañana
Darrell's
Or the few chains that are here, Outback, Chili's, BWW, Olive Garden, TX Roadhouse, or the fast food places.

ETA: Mazen's is good and Darrell's is too but you can only eat so many steaks or sandwiches.
Not trying to hijack but there are some really good places in BR.
I do agree about Ruffino's though. Never been impressed with that place. I like the atmosphere but the food leaves a lot to be desired.

If we're talkin about the Chuck, Pats of Henderson may be some of the worst seafood in the state. That shite they serve is made for the pallet of a 80 year old

Where is this ratings list? I would have to read it before I decide if a place is overrated.
This is a pretty inane thread, insomnia is the driving force of reading some of it. There are only about a dozen posters on this board who's opinion I respect, the rest are taco snappers.
