Took my wife out to dinner once, got drinks. Later that night I got her pregnant. I won't know for about 15 more years how much that dinner truly cost me.

About $275 with tip.

It was a very quiet, intimate dinner, and the payoff that night was worth every penny

Just a bit south of $500 not including tip. But that was for a Chef's tasting/menu at a damn good place in Savannah. Included wine pairings.

I've dropped around $300 a few times in Charleston as well. Well worth it.

$985 at Meadowwood in St. Helena, CA. That does not count the 2 bottles of wine that we brought.

That only counts the dinners that I paid for. I've been to some French Laundry meals that definitely beat that, but someone else paid.

Probably between $200-300, I honestly don't remember, but we've had several meals in that range. Typically due to wine costs. If we're talking food only, probably $150 or so.

About $500 with tip in a 4 star place in France, I have had better meals for under a 100 bucks.

$231 at Wine Country in Shreveport.

I'm a total cheapskate too. I'm not sure what came over us.

$400+ at Halls Chophouse in Charleston. That was drinks and all.

Best meal/restaurant experience I've ever had. I'd do it again.
