The vegan curry is enough to feed 2 people. Once a week I'll order that and some spring rolls and split it with the ole lady. Great lunch for 15 bucks.

Guess it hard to be skimpy on the meat in that dish.

Try the Dac Biet from Banh Mi Sao Mai on Chef. Ask for it spicy if you like heat. Tons of pork in 3 forms. They use the standard Dong Phuong breads. It's a hike for most, but file it away in case it comes in handy.

The lady won the poboy fest prize one year, or at least fared well.

I'll check that out. When I fish the Rigolets area of the lake I always stop at Dong Phoung. I'll try this place next time.

You guys may be right about portion size of the banh mi because I haven't had it in awhile from Magasin. But I've seen nothing wrong with their other dishes. I don't need two pounds of meat sitting in the middle of the broth when I order pho

Same side of Chef as Dong Phuong, just a little East, right before Pho Bang.

Looked it up I'm guessing the #5 is the one to order. The sandwiches look like a buck more hopefully that's a good thing. I don't want a Magasin rip off Banh Mi.

VOR- looks like the weekend afternoon craft cocktails have returned to the vous.

Rebecca is good, and Renae is making guest appearances from time to time since she got back in town.

I kind of saw her on Saturday. Glad to have an experienced hand behind the bar.

Ready for a blackberry gin cocktail.

It's a complete meal for the price of subway sandwich. Meat, veggies, carbs, delicious broth. Sure it's trendiness is out of control but that's not pho's fault. Pho never hurt nobody. What about pho's buddy Banh Mi ? How do you feel about him ?

It's ok. I'd rather so many other sandwiches over it.

I'd go get a Sammich before a Banh Mi. (Sorry, Glass)

And really, Pho is a LOT of broth, a LOT of noodles, and a little veggies, and a little meat.

Have you been to Mopho?

It's a different take on pho that accentuates the proteins. The broth is a minor player. IMO

No, why am I going to waste my time trying more Pho places when I think it's overrated?

Depends on where you go but yes mainly noodles and broth. I love the broth and that's why I eat it. Go to Lillys order a bowl add veggies hold the noodles. It's great on a cold afternoon.

I guess I read this
quote:

Pho is a LOT of broth, a LOT of noodles, and a little veggies, and a little meat
and figured a soup that was centered around the meat as opposed to the broth could be of interest.
