When I am in Monroe, I generally hit either Cotton or Trapp's depending on my mood.

Fat Pelican, best food/chef in Monroe
Hardly.
First time there a year or so ago it was the best food I've ever had in Monroe. Never has come close since.
Finally just walked out last time, swore to never go back. This was about a month ago.

I’ve had both a nice lunch and dinner there in the last two months.

Applebee’s and Johney’s are solid choices in Monroe...

Good list. Mecca has very good offerings.

Back in the day, Josey and I would never leave for a weekend at the camp without a pan of Danken Trail beans. Every time I go back home, I make it a point to make a stop by Danken for a meal. I can’t get damn fine beans in South LA.

I gave Trapps a couple tries. Had fish last time that was just bland. Don't remember what I had the first.time.

They’re good beans, but a notch or two below Padnuh’s.

Agreed. Podnuhs beans are incredible.
Posted on 4/28/18 at 7:49 am to crimsonsaint
No way. Danken’s beans are second to no bean.
