Mizado is NOT closing

Hours of operation:
Mon-Thu: 4pm-10pm
Fri: 11am-11pm
Sat: 4pm-11pm
Sun: 10:30am-3:30pm

Not sure I believe they are staying open due to some kind of public outcry. Think this may have been well played though.

If anything, it may have just been the negative public response to putting a Zea's there.

Well if they're truly intent on listening to their customers, bring back Semolina to Baton Rouge.

They are. I was there last Saturday and the head bartender was telling me they were transitioning into Zea's with Mizado's bar.
That the owners were keeping the employees on until the transition by sending them to different Zea's. Some were already making plans to work at different places. They had no idea this was coming. The bartender did say, since they announced they were closing it has been insanely busy. She did say lunch was dead most days.
I think their house margarita is the best in the city.

Semolina is pretty good for mid priced pasta. I remember in restaurants, people wanting ex-Semolina cooks for the Saute line. Semolina is almost all Saute Station (cooking with skillets over flames and building sauces).
They use good ingredients and I enjoy their pasta options.
