I like Mike Anderson's in Gonzales. I've never been to the others. There was in Metairie years ago and an express version in the Riverwalk. I wish I had slate floors in my house like the Gonzales location has.

It's hard to beat a draft beer and Mike Anderson's onion rings. Have eaten there 2-3 times this past year and also went to a group function dinner. Food was great and they handled the event perfectly. It's good to see a long time BR tradition keep going.

I have been going there since they first opened the original location on Highland Rd. that didn't have a liquor license.
Wow not many of us around I would guess. Used to go there regularly with my parents when I was a kid. Right at the corner of Boyd and Highland right? My mom used to tell me how they would stop and buy poboys from Mike on LSU game day when he was selling them out of an ice chest on the side of Highland Rd. pre-restaurant days.

Close. There were two or three old houses between the corner and the store.

Yeah I couldn't quite remember if it was right on the corner. I do remember eating in the tiny dining room in the back of the house.

I liked that too, but favorite was front porch. ‘The ACE’ all you could eat whole fried fish-sp good?

I remember going back then. If you sat along the walls in certain places, you could see straight through the wall. Best seafood platters I ever had with all those onion rings.

The one in Gonzales is the best one.
