According to the report, the restaurant is ready to begin construction later this year on a seven-acre piece of land just off Oak Harbor Boulevard with plenty of room for both the restaurant and parking, says owner Horst Pfeifer in the report. The new restaurant will seat about 300 people, with a “sandy play area with water features for children.” The owners won’t be making many changes to the menu. Unlike the original restaurant, the Slidell outpost will host private events, like rehearsal dinners and business functions.

That area is starting to see some nice growth. They need some damn street lights though.

I guess he wasn't getting flooded enough in the Manchac location. Insurance must pay pretty good.

It seems like there isn't a single dining establishment in Slidell that has enough servers. Whether it's chain places like Cheddar's and Longhorn, or local places like Speckled T's, it always seems like there is a crowd waiting for a table, only half the tables are being used, and a "we're hiring" sign out front.

I don't know if it's the pay, or the lack of college kids, etc, but it's a huge problem.

I hope Middendorf's can hire enough staff.

The hiring pool in Slidell is terrible. You get employees that work just to exist

I wish they would reopen Bells Luna in the old location.

When do they burn that location down for insurance?

Perfect. Sort of place we'd hit up going in and out of town. We stop in Manchec but rarely ever use I55, we go through Slidell to use 59 or continue on 10.

Is like to see more of the family restaurants that was there in the 90s. If you had a restaurant you were usually close to the other familles. It was fun back then.
