Going to a wedding in San Francisco next month and looking to go to a Michelin starred place the night before. The French Laundry reservations were gone within 30 seconds of becoming available today, and doubt that we get off of the wait list. Anyone has any particular one that they prefer or would recommend?

Look into Dominique Crenn in San Fran.

I will go to my death bed on this but when traveling always do a long lunch over a dinner for fine dining. If you really want to do TFL (and I think it’s “worth it”) call and see if they have lunch avail.

Gary Danko, Mourad, and SPQR are all phenomenal. Just go to the website for each, see what menus you like, and figure out if they have availability. Service and food at all of them will be great.

We had a great experience at Atelier Crenn. It wasn't really hard to get a table either. Couldn’t tel you much about their wine program if that’s your thing.

Get on the waitlist for French laundry. I made alternative reservations at the restaurant at meadowood and ended up getting called in the airport that a spot opened. Worth the shot and worth it to go

Not what you're asking about but, the market restaurant is fantastic. I imagine you'll be there more than 1 day and will need a nice lunch. "Very Adult Mac & Cheese" is phenomenal.
