New Mexican/Honduran grocery and restaurant just off Old Hammond Hwy near Sherwood Forest in BR. West Muriel Drive in a new strip shopping center.
The BBQ beef enchiladas with green sauce were excellent. Green sauce was pretty hot. Crumbled queso fresco on top was a nice difference and good.
Great meat selection for tacos and enchiladas, including lengua, tripe, al pastor.
Beef street style tacos very good. Cubes of beef were nicely marinated. Came with red sauce and green sauce on the side. Both fiery and tasty.
Mexican chicken tamal was big and good. Masa tasted freshly made. Wrapped in corn shucks.
The Honduran tamal was huge. Whole bone-in chicken drumette on one side and second joint on the other. Potato between them. Wrapped in banana leaves, which imparted a Vietnamese flat cake flavor. Yummy.
Very comprehensive menu. Gorditas, baleadas, breakfasts, quesadillas, carnitas, chuletas, platters. Refried beans and Mexi rice both good.
Prices very reasonable. Specials daily.
Muy autentico. Will return!
Grocery has meat department/butcher shop and bakery.

Is it in the old post office on the through road that runs parallel to Sherwood?

I'll be there next week. Been wanting to try some new Latino food.

If they’re open tomorrow I may try it

My coworker and I go by that place fairly frequently for a quick cheap lunch. Their tacos rule and the salsa they give you with the chips is superb. Haven't explored their menu in depth but it all looks good. Cool people run the place. Just FYI, The owner and his son that usually runs the register are fluent in English but most of the staff are not. We're almost always the only gringos in there.
