Yes. As I said, there were three blends. The first ones we produced were one bag per box. Evidently, they now pack them two bags to the box, which makes you (Or gives you the option to) buy more.

For some reason, I want to say, they started doing a six bag box after I left the company. The difficult thing is the equipment to make and seal the plastic bag, not to pack it in a box.

The Zatarain's match was the one labeled "New Orleans Style". I think the box colors were red and yellow.

Sales and Valuations are not the same thing

Duh---imagine the multiple on earnings $800 million represents if the sales are only $90 million

Amazing--they paid $800 million for a company with only $90 million in gross sales.

Zatarains crab boil is bottled at the plant in Gretna, and it will definitely clear your sinuses and make your eyes water.

I think Tapatio is still owned by the founders and the best hot sauce regardless.

In Gretna.

Yes, I have been in his plants (long time ago). Also Blue Plate's old NO Plant, two different Hellman's plants (NJ and Chicago), two McCormick facilities in MD, Gel Spice in NJ, ICA in Memphis, Tabasco, and several small companies in Mexico, Texas and NM. Toughest food place for me was the Cayenne Lab at McCormick in Hunt Valley, MD. Hurt so much - couldn't breath.

Toughest all time, took a tiny-tiny hit of Japanese (Drug raw material) pure Capsaicin we used to make OTC Drug Capsaicin ointment. From the vendor, the raw material is + 15,000,000 Scofield Units. You must have a drug license to buy it from them because it can be lethal. The exposure knocked me on my butt - literally. Took a while to be able to take a breath. I thought it was over. We dispensed the stuff in batch blending, using serious safety controls, but it happened.

My favorite place was Gilroy Garlic (Garlic World, Christopher Ranch, the Pepper Plant) in Gilroy, CA. Met the guy who was their QC Manager at NRA one year and he took me through their facility and labs one later trip to CA. I think I smelled like Garlic for two days after the visit.

I used to tease my wife that she should wear Gilroy #5 by Christopher Ranch.
