On Nicholson by south gate apartments, where Leroy's use to be.

Sucks to see leroys close down, I was very much a fan of that place. Their beer shakes which they were known for were just okay, but their food and portion size were spot on.

However, I'm excited to check out this new location for Marty J's, a buddy of mine dad owns it, and hope they do awesome there. If anyone makes there way over there for lunch today, let me know how it is. I'm sure I'll be headed over there soon enough though.

I commented a couple of times on hear about how good the lunches were at the Marty J's Perkins location, but that has changed recently and the food has gotten worse.

You try to call and see what their lunch will be that day, and most of the time you get a confused employee that can't give you an accurate answer. You go in to order something and there's more confusion.

I'm guessing that selling crawfish has been Marty J's top priority since they've been opened here. Maybe when crawfish season is over, they'll try to get their act together and serve better lunches and have more competent employees.

Oh, and the salad you get with your lunch is just a stupid why even bother salad. Trust me on that...I quit going to Marty J's.

He must have alot of capital already.

From a business owner perspective i'd be wanting my first location to run for at least a year maybe more and to have steady profits before i'd open another.

They are already advertising on the radio, and a large spot on the wall in right center at Alex Box. Clearly had a ton of capital going in

Went to the new location for lunch today. Got a roast beef poboy, side mac and cheese, and a pepper jack boudin ball.

Boudin ball came out before anything else, and was clearly made hours before they decided to give it to me. It was cold, and the "melted" pepper Jack cheese in the middle had already really solidified. How fricking lazy are they to do that. Did they not think I would notice how cold it was?

Mac and cheese as a side was the biggest waste of money. They should either take it off the menu completely, or let customers know when they order it, that its just a frozen meal that they buy from somewhere else and reheat. It was the shittiest mac and cheese I've ever had. Pretty sure they buy it from the same producer as popeyes and Picadilly cause it tasted the exact same. Mac and cheese Isn't hard to make we'll and it's not expensive to make. Either make it yourself or don't sell it at all. All it did was make me mad.

Roast beef poboy was solid, if I go again it will be because of that. I want to try the seafood poboys, but I probably won't go back for a while just because they made me angry.
