I’m a fan of Diversion Pizza but I don’t feel like driving that far. Anybody been to Marlin’s or Nick’s?

Haven't been to Marlin's in 20 years, it was solid takeout back in the day though. Nick's is also fine. Neither are comparable to Diversion though.

Marlins pizza kinda sucks, but it’s a nostalgic suck. It tastes like my childhood because it was the only pizza place that delivered to my parents house growing up.

When it’s hot, it hits, but if it cools, the crust tastes awful and the cheese has a weird flavor to it. Their burgers and po’boys are solid if you like softer bread than the hard crunchy style ones in New Orleans.

I have never had the pizza from Nick’s.

Day-um. I'm surprised both of those have survived, especially Marlin's after it flooded in 2016.

Marlin’s is invincible. Been wearing it out for 35 years. The bacon cheeseburger pizza was a sentimental favorite. But yeah Diversion is definitely the better choice.

Marlins hot and fresh is better than any national chain. I suggest not getting it delivered. Pick it up or eat there.

However their poboys are probably the best thing there.

I dont really care for Nicks but I seem to be in the minority there.

St Amant location off of 431 next to Cajun Daiquiris is still there.

Dutchtown and Galvez locations are long gone.
