Mostly casual stuff, nothing real fancy. Heading there this weekend. TIA

The food scene has gotten better in the last few years. Top 4
Loom
Dovetail
The Rookery
Downtown Grill
After that, it's typical Mexican, BBQ, Italian joints.
Macon is a test market for Chick-fil-A so you may find unique menu items at certain times.

Landmark loaded with history.
For more casual, the Rookery is spot on. Been there for decades.
Ocmulgee Brewpup is similar fare. Friend of mine raises the beef for their signature burger.

H&H Soul food is great food. Regular hangout of the Allman Brothers Band back in the day.

The Rookery used to be the go to. It has gone downhill in the recent past. Ever since they opened the other side, the quality has diminished. But if you go, get the Jimmy Carter and put jelly on it. Trust me.
Piedmont- if you're a wing lover, white BBQ wings at Piedmont are tough to beat.
Ocmulgee- their hot chicken sandwich rivals the ones I've had in Nashville. It's good, but not for the weak.
Yollah- Good Cuban food.
H&H for soul food or brunch for sure. Allman bros used to eat there.
Macon Beer Company also has a good brunch.

Nu Way is one of those Greek chili places found across the country.
Second oldest hot dog stand, behind Nathans (NYC).
I rarely eat there now, but after my annual bloodwork at the doctors office, it has become a tradition.
