Me and wife are getting away from the kids for a little while. Going to Alex. Where to eat lunch?

Obvious answer is Golden Corral, but would like other options. Pineville or Alex. TIA

We had Spirits up there the other day. The “Tracey chicken” was very good. Not many options up there.

Tried Spirits. It was pretty good. The fried green beans were great.

I had the knob creek burger and wife got Tracey’s Chicken. Hers was better than mine

Plate lunches and boudin, you can’t beat quebideauxs. Stay away from their peripheral items. Stick with the plate lunches and boudin/boudin balls.

Tunks?

Or there’s a bbq place that has a killer baked potato with brisket on it

I've been through Alexandria every 6 weeks since 1981. The food scene there is not very good. If I go through there at meal time I usually just go to Chick-Fil-A and save my money for another meal.

You are missing out. Name a cuisine and I’ll give you a pretty damn good option.

How about a bar and grill that is not a chain? I don't care for Spirits.

Sombreros has a nice bar area. Bellinos as well. The Levee Bar. Poppa Ts in Pineville.

Bar and grill for lunch is kinda an odd request.

Tiny Spicy Chicken at Oriental Wok has been my favorite for many years.

Thanks, I'll see if I can try one of these my next time through. Now that I've looked them up on Yelp, I'm thinking The Levee Bar.

Not really a bar and grill. But Embers is down there and has a bar and some pretty good food

For lunch one block away is Sentry drug. It is a diner. It’s a cool diner.

If dinner Diamond Grill has a good bar area upstairs. Probably pretty slow on a weeknight
