I've never tried it but recently watched a re-run of Shark Tank with Three Jerks Jerky....may be expensive though because they only use beef loin

Woody's Smokehouse in Centerville, TX is pretty dammed good for the thin dry style.
Bourgeois is pretty much king for the juicy steak style.

I go to Dallas once or twice a year and spend well over $100 on jerky at Woody's every trip home. Vacuum pack and freeze it.

I went to the beach two weeks ago and you would have thought Bucee's was giving away gas looking at the cars lined up from I-10 to get into that place. I kept on rolling.
