Cigar shop recommended this one called blind mans bluff Connecticut
I like milder cigars anyway but this is really solid. Hit of vanilla on the taste .
Very glad the guy mentioned it.

Same! Probably gonna spend the rest of the summer staying out of the heat as much as possible. It'll give me a good excuse to acquire new cigars in prep for the fall smoking season.

Are there any good Cigar shops around Mandeville or Covington that you can also grab a drink too.
No not really. Was a Habana Port in Covington behind the Home Depot area but closed. The location always seemed a bit off to me for a smoke and drink place.
Be cool AF if BarleyOak opened a cigar balcony and humidor room.

Perfect spot for this actually. Drinks and smokes while looking over the lake? Yes please

Used to be a place on 21 north of 12, that had a cigar lounge. This was a few years back.

Burn? In the Winn Dixie area?

It closed, and the management was rude as frick every time I went in that place. Good riddance.

Well that's sucks, I'm headed that way this weekend and wanted to find a good place to grab a drink and a smoke with my old man. I guess I will have to head into New Orleans.

So... Caldwell La Barba Red... Scored a 5 pack from Thompson Cigar as part of a bulk deal for $24. Under $5 a cigar, I thought I was getting a good buy.
The first cigar was dry, major canoeing. No flavor.
Gave one to a buddy, he had the same problem.
Third cigar was decent, though it held no ash. Uneven burn and had to relight halfway through.
Fourth cigar was horrible. The draw was like sucking air through a cardboard toilet paper tube. Halfway through, the wrapper fell off. It was not dry, I was not being rough with it. It just fell off. After a few more puffs, the rest practically disintegrated.
This was over the course of two months, so I'm positive the last cigar was properly humidified. My advice is to stay away from this one.

I got a weird vibe when I went in as well.
Seemed like a cigar shop run by people that didn’t want to run a cigar shop.

Although Barley Oak isn’t a dedicated cigar bar, the outside seems nice and big enough to probably work well enough, especially the downstairs.

Acquistapace's in Mandeville has a nice humidor with a good selection and good prices

Enjoying a CAO 450 Sparkplug, that’s smoking really well.
