Drew Estate Liga Privada 9
Diesel Hair of the Dog
La Aroma de Cuba
Perdomo Lot 23

And a cigar that is timeless and a staple in my humidor, Romeo Y Julieta 1875.

Plasencia 1865 Alma Fuerte is one I smoked recently that blew me away. I’ll be adding that one to the rotation for sure.

Where's the best place to find deals on cigars? Is anything obtainable for cheap on Cigar Bid, or are you always paying MSRP for a box? Or, always outbid?

Thompson Cigar has some good deals, but they aren't really on cigars I want. They seem.. ok? They have a 5 pack deal going on, and that seems like it would be a good way to fill the humidor with a variety.

I love my B&M and will always pick them for a special single, but they have zero deals.

I check all of the online retailers for deals. Thompson, Cigar International, Fox Cigars, JR Cigars, Famous Smokeshop. I know I’m forgetting a few, but I always look around for specific cigars and more often than not, at least one will have what I’m looking for in a box or pack of 5 on sale

Cigar International seems to have the best deals on large samplers if you’re just looking to fill your humidor with quality smokes while getting at least 10 or so 90+ rated sticks. There’s so much on the market now and that’s a great way to discover cigars you may otherwise overlook.

I’ll usually buy two big samplers from CI and then my favorites from whoever is selling them the cheapest.

Currently smoking a Larutan cigarillo by Drew Estate. Thinking about buying a box of them as cigars. My first time having anything with Louisiana perique tobacco in it

I use Neptune cigar a lot but I would use the list tiger has and just sign up for all their emails that way you don’t always have to be searching the sites.

I’m going the Cuban route again tonight. I took a Ramon Allones SS out and sat it outside while I ate dinner.

Leaving it sat outside for 15min is making it smoke perfect.

Damn good cigar. Make sure you ate something or have something with sugar to go along with it. Because it. Will. Put. You. On. Your. arse. Lol

I didn’t know they were using that tobacco in cigars. I may have to check those out. CI is running a great deal right now if you buy select 10 packs. They will give you a $20 gift card for each one you purchase. I bought Oliva V, Camacho Corojo and AVO XO Intermezzo. Came out to about $130, but I’m getting $60 in gift cards. Not a bad deal.

I mostly buy from Cigars International. Sometimes you can find some great deals, but they usually have the best depth of inventory.

Be cautious of CI. They are known not to keep their stock in good conditions. I’ve had to let cigars from them rest for over a month before smoking.

Cigarbid is owned by CI too, and they ship horribly.

Look at Fox Cigar, Small Batch Cigar, Cigar Page and Cigar Yard.

Good to know but I’ve never had a problem since they usually sit in the humidor well beyond a month before I smoke them.

I enjoys those as well...very different. First thing that hits me is how dank it smells. Read they are not just barrel aged, but barrel fermeted.....so the leaved are soaked in a pappy barrel full of water...interesting for sure.

I shopped around CI, Fox, etc... I finally pulled the trigger on the 5 pack madness at Thompson Cigar.
Found a groupon that was supposed to be $30 off, but it added a free 5 pack of Cohiba Red Dots to the order.
Anyway, here was my final bill after it was all said and done (All 5 pks):

Caldwell La Barba Red Toro Corojo - $23.74

Cohiba Red Dot - $0.00

Drew Estate Undercrown Gran Toro Maduro - $23.74

Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro Corojo - $23.74

Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Toro Connecticut - $23.74

Sub-Total $94.96
Standard Shipping $7.99
Sales Tax $4.60
Order Total $107.55

Not too bad for 25 cigars. Right?

Not bad at all. You got some really good ones.

Keep an out on Thompson for their humidor deals as well for when you inevitably want to expand

Came up good, esp with the free Cohiba Red Dots. A 5pk runs about $90

Sign up for the Catalogs the companies mail monthly. They have some really good magazine only deals on there a lot.

What cigar would y'all recommend a beginner to pair with bourbon or scotch?

I wouldn't want the cigar to over take the flavors of the whiskey
