Lets discuss iced tea

I know this is a simple topic, but I'd like to get some input and see if there are any different methods or opinions on what makes the perfect batch of iced tea.
I enjoy drinking iced tea and its a refreshing way to beat the heat, but I've never actually made a batch myself. What are your preferred methods and ingredients? Any brand of tea that you consider the only real option?

I drink tea all the time, and have a great lazy man way to make it
I get either louisianne or community family size tea bags
I have a 1.5 gallon pitcher i put 6 bags in, fill with hot tap water. Put in fridge. When cold it is ready
Add lemon if i have it.

Yeah, maybe I should have said "seemingly simple topic"
That sounds pretty easy ksaye, you have any opinion of how the end product differs from a method that boils the water?

I have an iced tea maker. It takes 5-6 bags to make a batch. I mix and match green, white and black tea bags. There's really nothing to it. I prefer my tea more bitter and I drink it without any sweetener.

Mint
Lemon
Splenda
Ice
Maybe some purple if I have it. Or vodka.

Its quicker lol.
I also leave the tea bags in the pitcher instead of removing. I like it stronger than most

Most people who don't make (1) cold steeped or (2) sun brewed tea (3) take their water to a boil, remove it and add lose tea or bags and let it steep until it gets to the strength they like.
(4) I like a tannin taste to my tea and sometimes will boil it for a minute or two after adding the bags (prefer Louisianne over Lipton's or Community). The boiling pulls tannins out of the tea and gives it the taste I like in my iced tea. I also like strong tea and usually use 6-8 teabags for a gallon of tea.

1. Bring 1 quart of water to a boil
2. Remove from heat
3. Add (4) family-sized Luzianne tea bags and cover to keep in the heat
4. Let sit for 3-5 hours
5. Mix 1 cup of sugar and tea brew into 1 gallon pitcher, then fill pitcher up with cold water to desired consistency and stir til sugar is dissolved.
6. Drink up/place in fridge

Simple. Boil water and add tea bags. Remove tea bags after 10-15 minutes and place pitcher in fridge.
Pro tip: Adding sugar is trashy.

boil some water in our teakettle, and put 1/4 cup-ish splenda in our glass carafe (1 liter). Grab 3 lipton teabags, hold them over the carafe and pour the boiling water over top of the bags. If I leave the tea bags in the hot water to steep, it always seems like I get some tea grounds at the bottom, which I hate. This way the tea stays in the bags, because I throw them away after I've poured water over them.
Throw pitcher in the fridge after it's cooled down to room temp and you're good to go. Sweet but not too sweet for me. I really like the one-liter carafes because I'm the only one in the house who drinks tea and I can get through it before the tea gets old. I go through at least two of these a week.

I use Luzianne family size tea bags, four to a gallon of water. I brew it with cold tap water and let it sit on the counter for half an hour or so before refrigerating, leaving the tea bags in.
Don't waste your money on so-called cold brew tea bags; regular bags work just as well.
If you want sweet tea made with real sugar, you either have to boil the water to dissolve the sugar or keep some simple syrup on hand.

Unsweetened is best. Just saying.

I have a big glass 1.75 gallon dispenser with the spout attached that I make it in. Luzianne kind that "specially brewed for iced tea." Boil the water, put 2.5 cups of sugar in the dispenser, then put 10 tied together tea bags in, dunk them, then leave them in. Let it brew as it cools down in the fridge. Take the tea bags out sometime after it cools down.

I use my Mr Coffee maker.
1 gallon Jug of water
2 Family size Bags of tea
2 cups of sugar
Put two family size bags of Lipton in coffee maker and dump half of the gallon in water reserve. When the water is done brewing dump in a pitcher and add 1 cup of sugar. Repeat for the second half of gallon. I like to pour mine back in the gallon when done cooling.
