Jed's serves theirs on Leideheimer po-boy rolls - taste buds confirmed.
Funny story I heard from a Baton Rouge chef. His restaurant started out with the regular Leidenhemier french bread to serve po-boys on. The company would deliver the bread fresh every morning.
Baton Rouge patrons complained it was too hard so much that the restaurant gave up and switched the bread to what amounts to a soft hoagie roll. They haven't had a single complaint yet.
Soft arse BR mouths.

I don’t believe this. Maybe it was 5 old folks who complained but this is not true for Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge is used to Waynes bread but always appreciates Leidenheimer.

LOL not Po-Boy Express, but that place does NOT know what a po-boy is.
