That's in the same location of the other failed whiskey bar?

I believe so. I’ve never been. I can’t afford it.

There's the classic BR attitude. Won't work here. Better not try it.

I think a small brewpub that made halfway decent beer and had the right location in BR would kill it.

Why not?

I could see something like this doing really well if they get a good location and have decent beers, amd all the beers I have tried of theirs on a small scale were very good.

right location in BR

Is proving to be the challenge. This is a retired coworker of mine and his son. They have been making great home brews for years, and have gone about this brewery concept very methodically. Both have been to brewschool at Goose Island, and Brett has worked stints at top breweries in Colorado and logged a good bit of time working at Gnarly during their startup. I think they've got a very good shot if they are successful scaling up their small batch recipes. And if Jacob can help get Tin Roof dialed in, maybe we won't have to run to Broussard or NO to get good locally brewed beer

I'm cheering for both of the new brewpubs to do great things!

Why can't it work in BR?

I definitely think it can work. Too many people don't want to look at owning a brewery as an everyday job though.

For every brewery in La, the first step is can and distribute.

Aren't there some crappy rules on book about mixing food and brewing? Mainly regarding distribution and sales?
