Have plans to go in a few weeks.
Is Lotus of Siam worth the hype?
Anyone been to yardbird in the Venetian?
How about Wing Lei in the Wynn?
Have plans to dine at all of those so want to see if anyone else has eaten at them before.
Any other suggestions to add?

It is very good, but not anything "special". It is a high-quality, fairly inexpensive Thai restaurant. Just be sure to say "Hi." to the Thai lady boy hookers in the parking lot.

You're tossing around Asian names, so...
Take a taxi drive/bus/Uber/lyft to Las Vegas Chinatown. Great authentic Asian restaurants for a mere fraction of the Strip price.
Although you'll add to my wait time, I'd recommend Monta for a knock your socks off ramen experience. Sit at the counter once you get in.

Battista's Hole in the Wall
This place was really good if you want some Italian. Free house wine with your meals. I'm not a wine drinker so I couldn't tell you if it was any good or not. Also a free cappuccino for dessert. And I'm not a coffee drinker, either, but this was a delicious drink.

Those are some random restaurants for the strip. Much better options out there

Not really random. Looking for a bit of a more casual lunch spot and found Yardbird and it looks really good from reviews. We are also staying at the Venetian.
Wing Lei is a very highly rated Asian restaurant at the Wynn and we're going to see La Reve that night at the Wynn. We've already eaten at SW Steakhouse.

The golden steer is a great old school steak house. The strip house is also very very good.

I've been with friends multiple times to Chicago Joe's. It's fun for a small change of pace in going local, but there are plenty of better Italian joints without leaving the hotels. CJ is more a Pinetta's of LV in my opinion. It's that it's in charming old house(much like Andre's original location)..
And though some of Lotus of Siam can come off as average, be sure you're not judging it on Chinese dishes or basic appetizers, but on rather the 'Northern Menu'. But, agree, for all the NYT, LAT, and GQ Alan Richman, etc..national hype, Archi's and Pin Kaow, Thai Spice,etc..provide quality competition to Lotus even in their own town.
