Does anyone in BR do Lafayette style pizza Ala Deano's/Pizza Village/Alesi?

Thin cracker-like crust, and cajun toppings?

Baton Rouge had a Deano's for awhile
It closed for good sometime back

Rocca Pizzeria has similar options
Pizza Byronz
Rotolo Craft and Crust is different than their traditional stores

What exactly are Cajun toppings? Adding sliced andouille?

Is it necessary to have one?

I'm from NO. Can't deny it's a unique style because of it's crust. I've tried a most regional styles, Laffy has its own.

it is funny hearing some say "lafayette style," but after living there, there is certainly a style unique to the area that ive never really seen anywhere else

really thin crust with tons of toppings above and below the cheese. Deanos was my go to spot

Is that the ones where they throw them in a cooler and sprinkle Tony's on them?

At least Lafayette is willing to step out and try something. BR simply tags on to whatever flies somewhere else and tries to copy. Like a second hand city.....Yet it is the acclaimed "capital". It's a shithole and a sad excuse.....and getting worse.

Are you going to tell me Baton Rouge isn't know for it's Zydeco?! (Alesi's Pizza Alesi would likely be my death row last meal)

You do not make any sense lol. I agree BR is a craphole. But do not be so naive to think Lafayette is better because "they step out and try something."

There are parts of Lafayette that would make me feel more comfortable being in North BR.

You may not have to move to prove it soo. NBR is quickly spreading southward. They're running out of things to ruin in their area.

This would be funny as satire; it's really sad as a serious post...

TIL that some people don't seem to understand that larger cities, which have more permanent and temporary immigration, tend to adopt the eclectic preferences of those immigrants over time, and further, consider this to be a bad thing
