Moss Street "area" is only 3-4 miles (5 minutes) from downtown Jefferson Street where you have a lot more options. If you have to eat on Moss St., I second the suggestions above. I ate at Lumberjacks once before and the food was good. If eating DT, you can do Pop's po-boys, Central Pizza, Dwyer's has a killer plate lunch menu

I would add Chris’ Poboys on Moss St, for Poboys and consistently good gumbo.
Plate lunches at Breaux’s Mart are usually good.
