Am I blind or do you not have a list of vendors selling food anywhere?

Walking around and watching the teams cook is definitely fun and interesting. Also...the teams love to chat it up about their favorite subject...BBQ! We encourage people to stop and ask questions, get tips, and same the food!

We turn in all of our food between noon and 2 p.m. So after that time we have leftover food (the stuff that didn't get turned in) that we're happy to let every one sample!

This is a great opportunity to see a competition in action. We have VERY FEW pro competitions here. Right now...other than this one (which this is its first year) the only one within a 1.5 hour drive is the Smokin' Blues & BBQ fest in Hammond.

Next year we'll see another new one in Slidell. It will be in the first quarter of 2010.

Hopefully we'll see more and more competition BBQ come to the area as interest and attendance in the events rises.

So come out and support BBQ events in LA!

Neuxla,

I've updated the information with a list of who will be selling food in addition to the teams competing in the BBQ competition. Thanks for the question and sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Wish Big Mike's in Houma would go and BBQ it up.

You should definitely let them know about us. If you think they might be interested in being a vendor, shoot me a message with their contact info and we'll see what we can work up. No such thing as too much BBQ!
