Well, if emma's story is true, this place will fold rather quickly.

I don't think a new dishwasher is going to make or break the joint...

I supposed they weren't using a payroll service ...

At least they could have been informed that what they were doing was incorrect.

Wow "little emma" I'm so glad that your were there, oh wait you werent, because if you were you would know that your facts are WRONG AND TWISTED AS USUAL.(CAN YOU SAY SLANDER?) I can't believe that anyone would believe everything that they read on a message board from people that they don't even know. And furthermore I think that it is really sad that people have to LIE to make themselves look and feel better about their incompetence.

I hope that all of you have a great week and that some of you get a better life.

p.s. I found my wallet, too bad cameras werent hooked up, someone would be in jail. I won't get into what I was told by the ex "sous chef" whom I wasnt aware there was a problem with especially since I paid her for her overtime and the chef was paid an extra $100.00 even though that wasn't the salary that was agreed upon. As far as everyone quitting that is the furthest thing from the truth especially if you call 2 people out of 29 employees including OTHER chefs/cooks everyone.

Just in! The "sous chef" was in the hospital and is not and wasnt working with "little emma".The other "chef" didnt quit..you figure it out!

I'm sure we will give it another shot. Like I said, I always give new places some time to get everything worked out. I hope things work out for you . We really could use a nice restaurant in P'ville.

Gave the place a second try tonight.

I must say this time was much improved from the first time. I suppose that is common with new restaurants.

Three comments:

The place was near empty, but I was there probably before the post-game crowd made it back. I hope business picks up.

The walls were painted a much lighter, more neutral color. It is a big improvement. I like to think that was due to my comments about it being too dark inside.

Since "Oyster Bar" is in the title I would expect too see an oyster shucking area at the bar, which there isn't.

Wife and I went tonight as well. The place was fine. There was only one other couple in the place. My wife got the blackened redfish w/ etoufee. She ate about 3-4 bites and on the next bite she actually had to spit it out into her napkin. She said to taste it and sure enough that was some of the more fishy tasting fish I'd ever tried. We are actually sad that the place was so disappointing. Hopefully they will get all this worked out, but sadly we will probably not go back for a very long time.

Thanks for stopping by.

The walls have been that color since we bought the place. More lights on I guess?

There is an oyster shucking area at the bar. But, the owners were shucking them in the back tonight.

I was there..you should have said hi!

I'm sorry to hear about the fish, you should have said something. We were sitting right there in the dining room.

It looked much different than I remembered.

I always like the atmosphere when it is done at the bar.
