Looking for recommendations for a contractor. Need to replace the island range, double wall oven, new countertops, and possibly cabinet re-facing. Budget ~$15-20K. Any recs?

Just wrapping up a “60 day” Kitchen build out that took 7 months. So I am not recommending my contractor. That being said, for what you have listed I wouldn’t hire a contractor. Your budget is tight already and the contractor is going to want a significant portion of it.

The appliance installations can be done by any handyman. You can probably get the name when you buy them. The countertops are designed and installed by the countertop people so you don’t need a contractor for that. I used Diniz Design on Industripplex. Cabinet guys are still at a premium right now after the floods but, again, that is a job that doesn’t require a contractor. Just call around.

If any Shreveport folks are looking, I was pleased with Red River Remodelers,

They did a gut it to the studs redo of our kitchen. Something was happening every day. No wasted time. Very nice folks. I’d hire them again in a second.

If you decide to go yourself I recommend Willow Lane Cabinetry. Solid wood everywhere, really good customer service.
