I’m going to be in Kansas City next week for a few days and looking for some BBQ.

Fiorella’s Jack Stack gets my vote. I thought the meats( lamb chops, ribs, sausage, brisket)were better than any of the places in and around Austin. The baked beans were not good, they tasted like canned beans with no seasoning.

There are plenty of other places too but IMO they are both very consistent. Watch out for Gates, they yell at you and yell your order.

Joe’s was by far my favorite burnt ends and ribs. Q39 had some really great chicken. I found Aurthur Bryant’s overrated. Didn’t have a chance to try Gates because 4 BBQ dinners in 5 days seemed excessive

I was in KC for a week long conference a couple of years ago. They had Jack Stack catered to two different events and had ribs out the arse.

Jack Stacks and get a gallon of the baked beans. So good.
We asked them why they were so delicious. Waiter told us it is because they cook them under the meat, so you get some of the lost pieces in the beans.
