re: Just learned that Red Gravy restaurant closed down

They're doing some family meals for pick up according to her posts. She posted the menus on her Facebook page.

I didn't see her asking for donations with the exception of donating produce because she's cooking for New Orleans Community Fridges.

I must have missed it if she's trying to reopen the restaurant or a restaurant.

I think she's talking about the to go orders. I think she's trying to get some catering jobs as well.

I've never eaten there. I started following the page years ago with the intention of possibly eating there on visit. I went back and forth and never went. She had some posts about customers, I believe, that indicated she had a bit of a temper as I recall.

I seem to remember a rant that she had when one of her customers changed a baby diaper in her dining area of her restaurant.

I understand how gross that is but she didn’t provide a changing area in her restaurant.

A sane person would have handled it a bit differently. People are morons, I guess.

She was trying to reboot, needed surgery and is now doing the to go family meals in interim.

I don’t wish her ill, but having chatted with a former staff member and having seen her argue with customers online (calling them liars etc… if they posted negative feedback)… I’m not shocked she’s struggling. I’ll eat a good meatball from a lib or a conservative but it just seemed she was always looking for a fight to pick instead of providing warm hospitality. Her food was good but if you weren’t praising her you were out to get her.
