Just got tasked with finding a reservation for 8 in NOLA

We're staying at the Sheraton and will Uber. Any recommendations for a seafood restaurant that maybe be off the beaten path and not be booked already? Most in the quarter have no availability.

Going to be tough in a predominantly Catholic city with Lent just starting this past Wednesday.

ETA: You might give Drago's in Metairie a call. It has 2 floors for diners and is a pretty big place.
ETA: They have 2 locations, one at 3232 N. Arnoult in Metairie. # is 888-9254

Try Sofia on Julia St. New place, Italian, plenty of tables that can handle 8. Great place to order family style & share. Also, look at Meril.

Estano is a fairly new place that opened in the Marigny. Been twice and its really good. Should be able to handle your crowd:
