What are you using to ignite it?

the little squares that came with it. I light it and then put it in the coal.

I have a torch but haven't used it yet. My uncle always uses the electric lighter and swears by it, I light two of the squares and it gets going well.

Though I haven't gone for a high-temp grill sear yet, I'm sure for that I need to use a torch or something to get all the coals burning.

If you get an electric starter, make sure to keep a close eye on it. If you leave it unattended and the fire gets going good, you will burn it out with the quickness.

The electric starter was my go to until I burnt out a few. The mapp torch is fool proof as I have had mine for about 6 years without incident.

BGE'ers, best lump charcoal to order via online? Im tired of buying the shite at Rouses where half of it is broken up into little pieces

The Ace hardware in Kenner used to carry Wicked Good Weekend Warrior which has enormous pieces you actually have to break apart. Not sure if they still do. Oz ark Oak was good to order online, but it's been discontinued.

Restaurant Depot just started carrying a new lump brand out of Macon, GA that looks better than Royal Oak and didn't cost much more cost. Bought a bag to try. Will report the results.
