I went with a friend last night, they do share a counter so you order all from the same place. It looks like they are working on setting up kiosks so you can place your own order.
We both ordered from the Bayou Boyz menu, each did a half poboy and 5 wings and we both liked it. I got an oyster poboy and the buffalo wings. The poboy was great. It had a good amount of oysters that were hot out of the fryer. The bread was very good too. The wings were solid. They were kinda small, but the buffalo sauce was really good. My only complaint would be that they didn't have a buffalo-hot option because I'd have preferred them with a bit more kick.
They had about 8 or so beers on tap too, most were local/craft beers IIRC. We weren't drinking so I guess I wasn't paying too much attention to it.
Definitely going to go back and try the tacos next time. I feel like this type of place could make a killing if they're open late with all those apartment complexes right there.

I just can’t believe someone actually named their restaurant Bayou Boyz

You've clearly never tried their pepperjack fondue on a burger
If I need that for it to be a good burger, it isn't a good burger

Anyone try Uno Dos Tacos or Bayou Boyz yet?
I tried Uno Dos Tacos and was pleasantly surprised. Good margs, solid chips, queso and guac, and the tacos were actually really good too. Tried the Al Pastor and Street Taco.
Bayou Boyz is in the same building, and you can order from either menu at the cashier, kind of weird.

Passed by late last night and looked like parking lot and drive thru was packed just like when the chick fil a opened next door. Didn’t realize it was opening so soon. Anyone go?

I saw lots of cars last night in the parking lot, but not the drive through. I assumed it was staff training.

I drive by every day going and coming from work. I don't think it is open yet, most likely staff training. Should be open very soon, though.

They are having a soft opening this week - 12 to 3 pm and 6-9 pm.

Dat Dog is opening on Government instead

The business report article yesterday quoted the CEO as saying there are currently no plans to open a Dat Dog in Baton Rouge.

Yeah that’s a real double whammy of shitty news

Not that I was that attached to Dat Dog (I've never been), but it was something different for the area. We have a Five Guys a mile away by Chimes.

Interesting. I was told 2nd hand info a couple weeks ago that they've locked in a deal for a spot on Government.

I get the hype. I just tried for lunch, and it’s pretty solid. I love that one of the options is sliders where you can mix and match the burgers. Fries are great too.
Employees were CFA level nice too. Will return.

I'll have to go try it out soon. It's just out of the way for me. We live in the Jones Creek area and I work near Essen.
