And double down and goto Petite Rouge to get it. Owner is a riot, well worth hanging out 5 mins and chit chatting.

I've been switching back and forth between Reve and FT when I can find fresh beans up here. I prefer Reve.

No need. WF typically gets fresh stuff every 2 weeks or so.

A friend brewed me a cup of FT's Big Chief. It was excellent, plan to buy me some and try out their other blends.

I'm still a big proponent of Congregation Coffee out of Algiers on the Westbank (New Orleans).

Congregation Coffee

Gallup blend is excellent in a french press or aeropress.

THIS COFFEE IS BUILT AS AN ESPRESSO BLEND, DEEP PLUM AND BAKING SPICES WITH A LINGERING HONEY SWEETNESS - FANTASTIC WITH MILK OR STRAIGHT UP. IN STORE WE PREFER OUR GALLOP BLEND AS AN ESPRESSO, FRENCH PRESS, AND ALSO MAKES FOR AN AWESOME COLD BREWING OPTION.

First had it at Peche in New Orleans when we went there for brunch. Asked the waiter what coffee we were drinking and she said Congregation. Went there right after and picked me up 2 bags.

I really like French Truck coffee outside of when it is served to me at one of their locations. I can't put my finger on it, but it tastes much better at home or in a restaurant.

FT is good. Prefer Mojo beans rights now.

Julie is awesome.

I just brewed a Blonde Stout that I fermented on some Big Chief whole beans.

The coffee we’ve been making with the leftover beans is FANTASTIC. Found 1 of the last two bags they had at Whole Foods yesterday and snagged it.

This is one of the biggest things my s/o misses about NOLA. We’ve gone to multiple different roasters around here and have yet to find something she likes as much. We’ve bought some stuff up here that is (to me) pretty expensive and she doesn’t care for any of it. We’ve been just buying the Stop & Shop brand Colombian beans because she likes them more than anything else we’ve had yet.
