Honest question. What is Eddie going to do his show on? Carribean health food? Those were his angles for most of the comp.

Well what show do you think they will put him in. Caribbean and island food is a new take. Only ideas that were interesting were that as long as he gets out of the health food idea, jays, and the South African chick.

They needed a black male for a show. Jay will have a show on either channel.

Yea, a lot of times it's better to be the guy who was robbed vs the winner.

idol season 5 was the epitome of this. Taylor Hicks wins and immediate obscurity ensued. While runner up Katherine McPhee and finalists Daughtry and Kellie Pickler all had more success.

Check your privilege. I know it's hard for you to accept but maybe, just maybe black people should be allowed on TV too.

I'm glad you enjoy trolling.

Just because he won doesn't mean he was better. He could have just had a larger target audience.

I don't think anyone is mad Eddie won, just bummed to have the hometown favorite, who many on this board know, beaten. Eddie's race has zero to do with why I hate that Jay didn't win.

Good race baiting. Solid work.

Congrats on a great job, Jay. Louisiana is proud.

wrong

I never watched an episode, I just checked in through this thread/facebook. There is some real butthurt, to the extent that people have (stupidly) thrown about the race card.

I'm sad Jay didn't win, but what an awesome platform for him, and probably still a really lucrative opportunity for him. These shows are far from an exact science. Many of the people crying foul are incredibly short-sighted, and some are borderline racist. Jay is gonna get his shot, IMO.

Some people might be racial about the situation. From the perspective of food network, it is very easy to understand their desire to work towards increasing market share through a more diverse group of talent. It also helps that eddie is quite fit and attractive for the cameras.
