Jambalaya festival cancelled

The festival's committee announced Wednesday that the festival originally planned for Aug. 27-29 will no longer take place. Plans are currently in the works to bring the festival back in May 2022.

It sucks not having it for 2 years, but to have it August would have been a complete disaster anyway

100% agree with you. Ever stood around a large cast iron pot with fire under it for hours in 100 degree weather? I have. Not fun.

Yep. Too damn hot to be out in the sun in August eating hot jambalaya to boot.
But I bet beer sales would have been through the roof.

About as bad as having a 100 person party and having to boil about 12 sacks of crawfish in a last minute all day downpour.
A lot of beer helps get through the work. Be careful at the end when cleaning up though, it's a known thing that the hose pipe will jump out and trip you.
