Just because it says Louisiana on it doesn't mean a thing to me, as Louisiana isn't known for good Q.

I'm not a big fan of it myself, but it is a lot different than any other barbecue sauce I've tasted. I guess you'd have to try it to actually understand what it is.

what exactly is Louisiana style BBQ sauce?

Jack Miller's/Pig Stand are both mainly tomato based bbq sauce (don't think there is any molasses at all), that has alot of minced onions that add to the flavor (also more oil than your typical BBQ sauce).

IMHO, it is good to use on chicken and hot dogs (as someone said before, makes a good hot dog "sauce"). It also helps a mediocre burger (ala frozen burgers from company picnics, etc.).
I don't use it on beef.

Probably its main purpose...

There is actual tomato in it? lol seems like just oil and onions. Its easy to make though.. I never buy it I just make my own if I want that. Lots of cooking oil, ketchup lots of onions little bit garlic some butter and salt.

instant heartburn

I have flashbacks of being a kid, eating a burger on white bread in the ballpark from a charcoal pit with too much lighter fluid on it and jack miller's smeared all over it. Just the thought of that gives me heartburn

There is likely nothing in this world that would give you heartburn quicker.

So what your telling me is it really isn't that great, and it's only good on burgers and dogs? Heartburn in a jar sounds like something I might be interested in.

I used to love it as a kid on my burgers. Now i use it in my BBQ beans recipe and occasionally on my grilled chicken.

Just dont eat a lot of it..

If you have a crappy store bought burger its the best thing you could put on it. If you have a hot dog on the BBQ then its great on that as well. On anything else its so so.. Decent on BBQ chicken. very good mopping sauce though because of all the oil in it. but yea use too much and you are going to get some serious burn.

Don't pay attention to these Negative Neds! Its actually quite good. Try it for yourself. You might like it.

Different folks have different tastes. That some others don't like it doesn't mean you will not.

You also realize that greese and tomato are the two biggest producers of acid reflux. Sorta makes Jack Miller sauce a prime candidate dont ya think?
