We used to go there all the time when I was a kid, but I haven't been there in 20 years.

We are going to the beach this weekend and are considering giving it a try.

Yay or nay?

yeah it's still solid.

Check out the new Emeril's place down here if y'all have a chance. I believe its priced similarly.

Man I love that place. Sit outside, get an old fashioned and redfish. Every time.

I'm glad to hear it's held up. Looks like I'll be eating there Friday or Saturday night.

Thanks fellas.

It could have the best tasting food in the world, but it is still beyond overpriced, even for a tourist spot.

$30 for for fried oysters. $32 for crab cakes. $25 for jambalaya. Holy hell.

We've eaten at the one further west and it was good. It's difficult to find a dish/fish without a heavy topping, and I don't order protein on top of protein...damn near everything is topped with crab meat in some sauce (it literally smells like crab meat in hollandaise in the dining area).

I managed to find something I thought was awesome though.

We must share a brain. I've been there twice and struggled both times to find something not covered in crabmeat. I'm not crazy about crab meat to begin with. I think both times I got grouper or snapper or redfish almondine. Forget what kind of fish it was. It was pretty good though.
