I eat there about once a month. According to some posters, the bread crust is now so crispy that it will shred your mouth into a bloody pulp. I never had that experience but I did have my first bad sandwich from there yesterday. Its great every other time

Twice as expensive and not as good

Still enjoy a Cajun Turkey/Pepper Jack from there every now and then

$10.99 before tax last time I went

Still like the place but OP did ask for a comparison to how it was 25 years ago. Think it was $5.99 when I first had it in 2002

I’m not worried about the price, I was talking about quality.

The bread complaint is something I’ve never experienced before

It’s definitely still worth a visit IMO

not to be a dick but you paid $6 in 2002 and $11 in 2023. Thats pretty much exactly matching inflation

We were getting them at the plant pretty regularly during our outage over the summer. Still good, but not as good as when my girlfriend in college would order them and swing by the apartment.

I’d eat the chips in car on way home and heat Sammy up in the oven for 10-15 minutes when I got home while I read Tiger Weekly

I get it maybe once every month or two. Its the same thing to me as it was in college. I prefer it over Ingas when I am on the go and eating in the car. Its more compact and easier to handle. The other plus is that I think as long as theyre open in the morning they will make sandwiches. Ive gotten them at 9:30 or 10am. Ingas doesnt open until 10:30.
