I can attest that it was only 7.99 up until 2021 or so. 33% inflation from 2002-2021, then an additional 38% inflation from 2021-2023. Finally caught up to them.

the insinuation was that they just raised their prices irrespective of the rest of the economy. did you take it some other way? do you think he was just noting inflation over the last 20 years?

I don't remember exactly what it used to cost when I was at LSU. I think either $3.99 or $4.99. I used to eat there like 3 days per week. I've only had it once since college maybe 2 years ago. It was still really good to me.
