The big 8qt for $99. For those of you that jumped on the hype of this thing a couple of years ago, do you still find yourself using it often? I want to get one but I'm afraid after the newness wears off it'll just sit in the cabinet for the most part.

Here's a link to it on Amazon

I still use it about once a week. It’s great. My favorite feature is you can take meat directly from the freezer and drop in the pot. 25-45 minutes later, you have a delicious meal with little work

Makes cooking easy for me on the nights I didn’t have anything planned or changed my mind last minute. Prior I would settle for something like a turkey sandwich since I didn’t want to spend the time going to the store or waiting for meat to defrost/prep.

While I'm not getting one I still want to thank you for giving me the opportunity. I'm always on the lookout for a good deal and I appreciate it when posters share them.

Well, I pulled the trigger on it today. I think I'll like it, especially with wife and I working and 2 kids with homework. Hoping to find some easy weeknight recipes.

Even if you only use it for hard boiled eggs, it's worth it.

Shells peel off in a few seconds.

Mine isn't the instant pot brand name, it's a cuisinart electric pressure cooker but I use it a ton. Mine is a 6 quart.

Chicken wings are done in 10 minutes, frozen wings in 12. The wings won't look like they're done but they are. Put them on a cookie sheet and place them in the oven at 350 just until they're crisp. Toss in your favorite wing sauce and enjoy.

Ribs are done in about 15 minutes.

I take them out and put them in the oven just to crisp them up afterwards.

Only thing is you have to pour off the remaining liquid that's in the pot once the food is cooked. I usually save an empty 2 liter coke bottle and just pour it in there with a funnel. Just throw out the coke bottle when it's full. It looks gross and make sure you keep the top for it.

Every thing else goes in the dishwasher.

I got one for Christmas this past year, and I only use it once or twice a month. I haven't really been blown away by anything I've made in it. I wouldn't miss it if I were to get rid of it.

In fact I'll happily give mine away to anyone here

They're too small to put a roast in

My wife got one for Christmas last year... we still use it about once a week on average. Did a pork loin in it this past Friday night that came out delicious. Beef roasts work really well, but I have found that the cut of meat is still the most important part of the meal. It's not going to work miracles with a cheap cut.

My 8qt one is big enough for an average sized Boston Butt. That was probably the best thing I've made in mine for some carnitas.

Have your wife head over to Pinterest and she'll find a ton.

I really like the Instant Pot.

I found this blog really helpful for cooking times.

Downvoters are the ones who don't have one.

I use it for this all the time. Easiest peel in the world.

I did a pork loin last night. Came out perfect.

Plus dumped some chicken broth and blalsamic into the pot with the drippings and added a bit of corn starch. Sauteed for a couple minutes and ended up with a delicious gravy.

We still use ours at least three nights a week. We are about to get another stainless insert to rotate through. Braised some pork last night that was fabulous! We have the 8qt. Also use ours to can and make quark.
