Does anyone have one of these in their home? I know what the websites say, but I was wondering what actual users thought of it.

Thanks!

Only had mine since September but still love it. I've got the kitchenaid one. If i could go back and buy again I might get the samsung one with the different bridge that would evenly heat better. I use my griddle a lot on the bridge. But I don't like how close the large burner is to the bridge.

I have had one for the last 2.5 years (thermador). I don’t miss my gas stove in the least. It is better than gas in the following ways:

Heats faster.
Easier to titrate heat for a worry free simmer
It’s a breeze to clean.
No spill over heat, cooler to cook on.

It is not as impressive to look at like a gas stove and you must have ferro magnetic pots (Cast Iron, Enameled Cast Iron, Stainless steel).

For my purposes, I much prefer the induction cook top.

We just put the Samsung in. Better than gas or electric. We had to replace some cookware, but not much. If you're unsure get a countertop model off Amazon to try out.

I’ve had a Fagor for 9 years. Love it.
Boils fast, maintains the temp you expect, easy to clean.

I have a GE profile that's probably 3 years old. Love it. Echo all the previous positives about the heating up quickly etc.

One thing to be aware of is you can't use non stick cookware. Also, there is a slight buzzing noise when you turn the heat up all the way. Apparently almost all induction cook tops have it.

Really great stove but make sure you have the proper pots/pans.

That's not true.

Not true, it is a little harder finding ones that work though. I have a cheap copper chef one that works. So, it isn’t like the pans have to be expensive. The other warning I would say is carbon steel pans get really hot really fast. I’m guessing cast iron would too, my experience has been the more magnetic the pan the better they work.

Ok, I believe yall. None of my non stick pans have worked on it besides a calphalon wok. I even had a calphalon frying pan of same variety that didn't work. Seems like if a magnet sticks to the bottom, it's good.

There's a link to Amazon of non stick induction compatible frying pans.

Not to mention you can get a plate to set underneath it and then you don't have to throw away a single piece of cookware

Had one for 3 years. Far superior to electric or gas. Some people swear by gas but they don't know shite.

If I had a pot that might splatter I just put some damp paper towels under the pot

anybody have a single burner that plugs into a 110 receptacle? I'd like to get one for the patio, my little cheap outdoor stove boils well, but the fire goes out when I try to simmer anything

I have a Tramontina I purchased from Costco. Works great even for frying. The pot that came with it is better quality than expected. If you search Tramontina 3 piece induction cook set on Amazon it will pull it up.

Duxtop makes decent single burner ones as well. Not sure how it compares to the one you speak of.

We also have a Tramontina from Sam's Club. It was like a 6 piece set for about $100. It has been a good piece of equipment. We spend another $40 and got a big stock pot from Bed Bath and Beyond so we can do noodles/larger batches of things.

I also got another one before that years ago but that's in storage now and I don't remember the name. Think it was from Amazon.

I love induction so much more than gas.
