Boo-hoo. You guys can always save that left coast hunger for a trip to Fatburger, Carl's Jr, Tommy's Original, and El Pollo Loco, off a jet.

I thought In and Out would only open within a geographical region that they could control the meat being shipped fresh from their distribution plant.
Good point. They pride themselves on the quality and freshness of their ingredients. Would be cool if they worked with local farmers to procure produce.
Another thing is.. I have never had poor service at any In-N-Out (I've been to 6+ locations in several different cities). I might be worried the pool of competent and pleasant employees may be small as they expand.

While we're on the subject of net places in New Orleans, does anyone know what's going up on the corner of Baronne and Poydras? I saw there's an application for alcohol license, but I could have sworn Blackened Out mentioned something about a Five Guys there.

INO has great service and is very reasonably priced.
Their product, like other "mythical" things is very overrated. The fries are in fact sub-par compared to other fast food.
They are consistent and cheap tho. Basically a better version of McD's.

No idea. They've been working on that building for a long arse time though.
Pretty sure a Rue De La Course is going on the corner of Carondelet and Perdido. Dee's Coffee gonna be pissed.

Double double animal style is as good as advertised, podnuh.

Agree with you here. Their fries just aren't that good.

They're several tiers above McDonald's. In between being Whataburger, Carl's Jr. and Five Guys.

I can agree with you. I enjoy a DD animal style. I like INO alright but the hype in Texas reminded me of the Krispy Kreme hype several years ago. *unfounded*
Whataburger is superior to INO on most aspects... consistent service not being one of them unfortunately.

They hire like Chic-Filet. Pretty simple to avoid the folks that work at Popeye's.

I love me some In-N-Out Burger.. used to eat there twice a week when I live in Cali, but I'm just not a proponent of them expanding across the U.S. There was something romantic and almost mythical about it being confined to a small area of the country
Nothing will ever make you happy...ever.
"I Love In-N-Out, but if it opens close to me it will just be ruined. They should have kept 13 locations..."

They hire better people, properly train them, and pay them more than any other fast food restaurant including Chickfila. The distribution center in Dallas was built to accommodate a 10 hour radius basically. I hear Houston will start getting them as well.

Yep. You just have to be willing to pay way more than Popeye's, which In-n-Out does.

Did I say that it would be ruined, pal? No, I did not.

Close enough.

Talking about potential staffing, and how Chic-fil-A is pulling that off, the other day I was in the Taco Bell nearby on Vets, and they were doing some of the same things: asking how I was doing, did I need a drink refill, etc.
It might be having a spillover effect.

Enjoy Chickfila because In n Out isn't coming to this state anytime soon.

Yeah, the Taco Bell on Clearview seems to be very well run too. They roll some people thru the drive through line at lunch. Always people working there that seem to be ok.

Heard a strong rumor that In-N-Out Burger is opening in Metairie where Foodies used to be on Vets across from Dorignacs.
