Definitely cool move coming to DFW but I'll still prefer Twisted Root for the rare time I want a burger.

I like Smashburger fries better. Five Guys gives you a ton of fries, but they are often greasy.

I'm the exact opposite. I like Five Guys fries better, but think Smashburger offers a better burger.

Have you tried the hot dogs at Smashburger? I was not a fan of the poppy seed bun.

I lived in california for years. Sonic>In-N-out burgers. They are like whataburger to me. 5 guys is definitely a better burger. In-N-out is good. We used to get bumper stickers that said in-n-out burger, cut out the b and r in burger, and it said in-n- out urge.. We thought that was great.

Business expansion thread gets moved to Food and Drink. Why not the Money Talk Board?

Five guys isn't a fast food place to me. There is no drive thru. Backyard burgers are terrible to me. In n out animal style burgers and fries are the best of any fast food meal I've ever had. I love whataburger but in n out is better. People that say it's overated should remember that its just a fast food place. Nothing more.

They plan on opening 5 new locations a year with expansion to the east coast eventually. Dallas is the food center of the nation so it make sense to start there.

It's not really a secret unless you've never been. They will literally do just about anything to your burger. Something about the mustard cooked burger on the animal style just makes my mouth water. Then I tried animal style fries and about came. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks.

Hope it happens but very doubtful, unless they compromise the very thing that makes them so YUM!

The reason they are so close to their base in California is because they ship their ingredients FRESH everyday....EVERYDAY! No Kidding!!!!

The problem with expanding to the East has been the "Fresh" issue.....Maybe they have figured out how to address this issue.....

I.....frickING......HOPE......SO!
