Absolutely Overrated:

Fries just ok
Paper thin meat patties (I got the double)

I was probably number 25 in the drive thru line

It was definitely not terrible, but honestly not any better than Sonic.

Lived in San Diego last year and went to In-N-Out to see what the fuss was all about. There are definitely better tasting fast food burgers out there. Definition of over rated IMO.

I couldn't agree more. It's the Cali transplants that hype it, and the Frisco-Plano house fraus that perpetuate it. I'm surprised there aren't any in Austin yet with the number of left coast transplants.

That said, it's a solid cheeseburger for $2.50.

But Whataburger (a good location), Sonic, Wendy's are all superior as far as product IMO. Especially with the fries.

It's good for what it is: a fast food burger and fries. Good service, and I like the animal style burger and well done animal style fries. But it's nothing life changing.

you left out cheap. My wife and I usually grab a quick lunch there when we go to Dallas, and it's never more than $10, which is a lot cheaper than other fast food burger joints.

I like the animal style, but as mentioned it's not stand-in-line-and-cry good which is what happened last year with some idiots.

I have noticed they are calming down now... haven't had to wait long at all the last couple of visits.

Perhaps my expectations were a little elevated with all the hype, and cars wrapped around the building three times.....

I was honestly expecting something superior to any fast food burger I've ever tasted

Yes, it's cheap and the customer service is excellent, but the food is nothing special.

I would return, but I won't seek it out or go out of my way, and definitely won't sit 25 deep again

This. Plus they pay their employees very well and the fries are cut in house, which to me is a good thing.

Double double animal style and protein style, fries well done, and a chocolate shake may have been the best fast food meal i ever had. I dont think im ordering another burger there with a bun. Wrapped in lettuce was better.

Whataburger makes a great burger as well. Get it for breakfast so they cook it fresh and its fantastic. (Seigen Lane)

does the lettuce hold that sloppy bastard together well? I go double double animal style and it usually ends up a mess by the end, seems like lettuce would be worse
