I would recommend Lakefront, Capital and New Glarus.

If you happen to see "Spotted Cow" give it a try. Not sure if its available outside Wisky.

New Glarus only distributes in Wisconsin. People from Illinois stock up when they are across the border.

Try their fruit beers if you get a chance.

As for New Holland, they've got a great brewpub downtown with a lot of beers that don't get disribution. Their 20th anniversary beer is fantastic, and their salted caramel version of dragon's milk is also awesome.

I'm surprised it's only "very good". I had it and loved it. It's like a much stronger version of backwoods bastard.

Whenever we're back there my gf goes shopping downtown and I just camp out at the bar by myself and drink. It's glorious.

Dragon’s Milk by New Holland Brewing. It’s delicious!

Saw this but passed it up. Wife liked the name but didn’t pull the trigger.

You missed out. It is delicious.

Keep an eye out for the Dragon's Milk Reserve Salted Caramel. It's great. Probably still on tap at the brewery and also bottled.

Also, Arcadia has some great barrel aged stuff. The BA shipwreck porter is really tasty.

I really like Short's Brewing in Bellaire, MI. It's pretty much the only thing going on in town, and it's a scene.

If you weren’t so mean and rude in your posts, I’d help you if I could do so.

Transient is brewing some really good beers. Old Nation M-43 is also very good.

Yes to both. Transient, in particular, is good to visit in the summer. It's a bit out of the way for most, but I've stopped on my way to Grand Rapids. Speaking of which, Grand Rapids has a fun beer/brewery scene. Founders is its most-notable, of course.

Many Wisconsin breweries should be represented there too. I would recommend Lakefront, Capital and New Glarus.

New Glarus won't be available. Honestly, and not that I would go out of my way for it, I don't even think Capital is in Michigan, either.

ETA: Lakefront should be in Michigan, for sure.

I posted this in January so I don’t really care if you add something of value or don’t because I’m not in Michigan anymore.
