I agree. It is in another dimension than Jockamo was. What a horrible beer that was. I can only guess how many people tried Jockamo and decided that they didn't like IPAs.

Well.......Back when Christian's were real Christian's......They fasted for the entire 46days of lent......Well....The german monks did and the believers were encouraged to do the same. So to sustain themselves, The monks brewed a dopplebock beer which came to be known as Salvator.....the monks who brewed this beer were the order of the Paulners......Eventually a commercial version was brewed by Paulner called Salvator.....Still available. It was a heavy malted beer full of carbs to sustain the monks for 46 days.....which is why it's so sweet.Then other Brewers started brewing doppelbocks cuz it was so good....Spaten Optimator.....Aiyenger Celebrator....The ator in the name was an homage to the original.....and why Andy Gator is such a great name.....Class dismissed. This will be on the test.

I prefer Amber and The Boot. Abita Satsuma is pretty great, although I haven't had that in a couple of years. Not a huge fan of Andygator or Strawberry.

I only regret that I never got to try Jockamo.
We only get Amber, Purple Haze, and Turbo Dog up here, and I've worked hard to keep them out of my rotation.

Tried Jockamo in college, thought IPAs tasted like soap for years.
