I’m going to get downvoted, maybe laughed at, but Snoop Dogg 19 Crimes is my favorite wine

I have been to a bunch of wineries, have consumed a bunch of wine in my time (admittedly not to Napa and I don’t like dry wines).
If I could only have 1 from here on out it would be the Cali Red.
Let me have it.

Describe it to me.
Vanilla, dark chocolate, berries, … all that shite.
Then tell me about the complexity as well as the balance.

Sadly I’m not that advanced.
It is a sweeter wine but not too sweet, which works for me. Medium body.
It isn’t expensive, and isn’t sold in any restaurants.

Like what you like. Enjoy it.
It is, in my opinion, objectively terrible wine.
However, it’s a good gateway into what you like, why you like it, and what you might like.
If you’re interested in wine going forward, figure out what you like about and explore profiles of “better” wines and explore into a different world
Or just keep drinking that and don’t care.

quote:I find that giving prison wine a year in the bottle mellows it out a bit.
It is a sweeter wine

It could be.
I don’t think my palette will ever be advanced enough.

It won’t change or develop if you don’t drink other things. It’s always up to you. If you’re fine with what you’re drinking…stay with it. There’s nothing wrong with that. At all. Like what you like. Drink what you like. Enjoy life.
I know you’re laughing about the “objective” comment but every subjective thing has objective factors. It is very mass produced, highly manipulated, chemically altered stuff. They add sugar dosage and things like Mega Purple, and various varietals to change the texture, profile and taste.
If those aren’t things you care about…then who cares.
