You forgot to add butter to help the meat come out of the shell

and when do you make your dip?

On a more serious note, I am also boiling this weekend and couldn't be more excited about it.

Boiled last weekend. The sack was a great mix for this time of year. The lack of cold weather hurt duck hunting but the crawfish look great.

Yeah me too.

I don't think I've boiled this early before.

I learned last year from a good ole Denham Springs baw that it's perfectly fine to put an entire small tub or country crock spread into the boil when you cut the fire because "it makes them easier to peel and you dip lobster in butter don't you?"

I ate them. They were fine but a little difficult to peel because he soaked them for an hour so getting a full piece of tail meat out of the shell was an extreme challenge.

I started to throw everything from my garden in there to make them peel easier. Then you dump a bunch of mustard and mayo and Tony's once you put them in the ice chest and shake.

Did you write this correctly? You soak them until they float? What’s that, like a 3 minute soak after you cut the fire?

Yeah, opposite for me. Soak til they sink.
